Linking up with Rebekah where we take time to notice the beauty in the ordinary things of life, taking ten photos over ten hours on the tenth of the month. This was a fun day capturing one of our days while on vacation in a cottage on beautiful Vancouver Island with my sister, brother in law and their two children.

1. Savouring morning coffee with my man while my sister and brother in law make breakfast- holidaying with others has its perks!

2. $5 investment in bubble toys and bubble mixture was the best choice to entertain all four children

3. Puzzling with their aunt

4. A hula hoop session before setting off for the day

5. Sandwich fixings all ready

6. Sandwich. Fixed.

7. Merry-go-round secrets

8. Entertaining my littlest while the rest ran an errand- I never tire of little toes and fingers

9. Taking full advantage of the cottage’s tea set

10. A brief moment of tranquility while dinner cooked and the kidlets played outside.

What makes a vacation memorable for you?

Love these! Especially the hoola-hoop and coffee :). What makes a vacation special to me is pretty simple–just all being together. I used to take it for granted, but in a busy season of life, I’m much more grateful for uninterrupted family time.

Yes, I need to focus more on the just being together part rather then always having a plan for each day. It is pretty special. =)

Such lovely moments. :-) I always need to have alone time on my holidays – even if that means waking up before everyone else. Then I can truly enjoy the day and the people around me. :-)

I’ve learned the hard way just how crucial that alone time is for me. Waking up earlier sounds like a brilliant solution. =)

Bubble toys! I definitely need to get some of those for backyard playtimes this summer.

Probably one of my best summer investments this year. =) Have fun!

Love! These pictures are like a breath of fresh air! I hope you had a super refreshing time with your sis & co at the cottage! Sounds heavenly!

Oh good, I’m so glad to hear that Joy! It has been a wonderful week, albeit a little crazy with four kidlets four and under. =)
