Ten on ten- ten pictures over the course of ten hours on the tenth of the month to capture the beauty in our everyday lives. Inspired by Rebekah , this is one of my favourite exercises in both gratitude and documenting this imperfect yet so extraordinary life. Here is an ordinary Tuesday in our lives.
Waking up before our children to read and drink coffee in the quiet has been (so far!) a total game changer this year.
My little early bird.
Attempts at a picture with my bear cub before his morning nap.
I love winter school mornings with books and papers and time to read another chapter.
Watching a documentary on penguins and other animals for our Antartica study this month.
This is by far my most challenging area to teach- reading. But once they get it, it’s a whole new world opened up to them!
The last in a monthly series of pictures- my baby turned one just after the turning of the year. One of the fastest and yet slowest years.
It may get dark before supper but there are some wonderful winter sunsets and I love them.
Hot cocoa for my girlies after an afternoon of snow play.
There was a lot not captured on this day-frustrations, tears and a fifteen minute search for a mitten. But these are the days I want to remember- simple, winter at home days.
I hope your January is filled with lots of the best kind of days, with hot cocoa and outside play and minimal searches for mittens!
