It’s a weekly pause, a chance to stop and really notice these little people I spend my days with. I know them but I want to continue getting to know them. Asking them questions, finding out what their favourites are, and doing those special things that make their days come alive.
Kilmeny is still all about the sparkles and leggings. She can also mix patterns like the best of them. She was given those leggings when she was born and only now at 3 (almost 4) has she grown into them.
Khaira is still all about doing it herself, she is full of determination and spunk. Her eyes are sparkly, full of happy thoughts and mischief.
When I pause to really see them, I am refreshed in the intensity of this motherhood season. It’s not all meltdowns and thrown food and screaming fits and not going to sleep. It’s sweet and it’s precious and it’s my long-legged girl peeking at the duck pond and my curly-haired one figuring out the tricycle.
What are you pausing to notice today?
